Penny Barthel is a cannabis educator, author, & speaker. Her writing and garden pursuits flow directly from her education and lived experience. Cannabis has captivated Penny’s attention in all its stages from seed to sparkly mature bud. Penny believes that cannabis belongs in the garden, bringing wonders of health and joy to those who get to know this remarkable plant. Penny has been featured in the LA Times, Grow Magazine, KitchenToke, MJ, Sunset Magazine, Growing Weed in the Garden, as a trial grower for The Humboldt Seed Company, part of the Great Grow Along 2025, featured on several podcasts, and in numerous public speaking engagements.
